·         Original cartridges are supplied by the manufacturers of the printers.  These are usually expensive and what sets them apart from the rest is the presence of their brand name.

·         Refurbished cartridges or remanufactured ink cartridges are resold cartridges that were used before and have been restored and cleaned.  They cost more than generic versions but cost less than the original brands.

Generic cartridges are also known as compatible ink cartridges for printers that are designed to suit specific models of printers and they cost significantly less than all other options.  They are high quality products that are sold at reasonable prices.
